Rumänien - 29. Juli 2018 12:24
After the party, yesterday it was time to sleep well and get ready for the evening. At 19:00 the price giving ceremony was announced. The mood was very exuberant, the successful team celebrated their success properly. The act of the medal presentation was solemn - there was already some national pride! Switzerland has achieved a great success with the third place in the seed ranking and also the third place in the team ranking. That would not have been expected by other nations. Afterwards we duly celebrated the evening in TIMES with our German and French friends. A great experience is coming to an end. Now it's time to pack up and start the long way home tomorrow morning.
Rumänien - 28. Juli 2018 15:09
Uff, the last few days have been exhausting and long. A lot of time to rest did not stay, after flying fast eat something quickly and then off to bed. In the morning, the first round was started at 09:00, this meant to be at the place at about 08:00. Depending on the taste of the Pilots/Helpers were between 06:00 and 6:45 stood up (Ced was the last). At 07:30 it was usually going on. If the juniors flew first, we could take it a bit quieter. In the ranking there was a ups and downs. Before the strings in the 8th round we could fly in between the ~ 14 and ~ 25 rank, after the strings everything has changed again. Ced was able to fly forward because of his good flights. Tobi was less fortunate. At the start, the model has tilted hard to the left and was unfortunately destroyed. Ced has also lost a model. Both pilots then had to make do with only two models. But both have mastered this verry good. Domi has a model also slightly damaged (but has already been repaired) on a landing - there was still too much speed in it! Thanks to good flights and the best coach (Tobi) on the course, Ced was able to take his lead on the field until the last lap and made it to the flyoff. Domi was still able to work his way up from 16th to 14th place, but unfortunately it was not enough. He would still like to have flown on. The CH was able to secure the third place in the team ranking, only just 1.8 points ahead. We are very happy about this and the German colleagues have been happy with us (cooli Choge). Now it was time to focus on a good Ced placement for the flyoff. Ced flew super through all 6 passes and had no bad flight. Individual points decide (especially in the flyoff) about a good ranking. Ced finally flew to the deserved, super good 3rd rank. BRAVO - we are all proud of you !!! This success is also a team effort, which would not have been possible without a helper and coach. A big thank goes therefore also to you !!! Yesterday evening we celebrated with the German and French colleagues in the old town of Brasov. Tonight is the official graduation ceremony, this should be again really strict. But we look forward to receiving the medals.

Some exhausting when we went to the square today, it was still pretty foggy. The World Cup was started anyway, in the first round Tobi was on it, he popped the start at a low altitude from the rope. But he was lucky, the fog was so low that the round was stopped and only once again waited. Two pilots had even grounded the model because of the fog. Tobi was pretty annoyed with the outpoping, especially because he did not know why. About 1.5 hours later, it went on, two rounds were flown. The conditions were very good, many pilots made short starts. Then followed a round of juniors, then the lunch break was taken. Then the second round started with the Junioeren, but was interrupted due to rain. The rain was very intense, the other flights were postponed to tomorrow. The decision was right, the rain continued until we drove home. Now it's all trkoknen. The results are pretty close to each other, with 12 points less than the best still ranked 24th. As the conditions become more difficult, the field will certainly break apart. It was a great, but intense day. We are curious what tomorrow will bring.
Rumänien - 22. Juli 2018 22:12
Some exhausting and intense days are behind us, but we also enjoyed. On Friday and Saturday the pre-competition took place, at 09:00 each was started (each with about 30 minutes delay as it belongs in Romania). The first day went very well for Domi, at the end of the day he was in first place 8 after 4 passes). Tobi was also placed among the top ranks. Cedi was a little less fortunate and had no chance to catch up without strings (8 rounds). On the second day things went better for Tobi, Domi made two bad flights. Finally, it was enough for both in the flyoff. I had to look for helpers and a coach, since Tobi had priority. The tug team around Jani Littva and Jani as coach have supported me. Unfortunately, there was a language problem bez. Deflection or no deflection. Logically, in the second lap, it was only enough to reach a starting height of 60m with a tailwind - that was just enough for 10th place. Tobi did better, he took a second place. I am satisfied with the results, it is not natural to flyoff with 87 pilots.
Today another exciting day with the "Open Ceremony" and the "model processing" and again flight training. Tomorrow the World Cup starts at 09:00, Tobi is the first and Cedi the second. We are looking forward to the following days. Will try to continue to report, hope the time is enough.
Rumänien - 18. Juli 2018 10:25
Yesterday at noon, Tobi and Boris arrived in Brasov. They drove directly to the airport to complete some flights. Later, Cedi and Domi are also struck. The flight conditions were basically quite good, but sometimes there were also real Sauffer. In the evening we have grilled and let the evening end comfortably. Tobi and Boris were quite exhausted from the drive and went to bed on time. The rest of the NM has dedicated the sauna. Unfortunately, this morning it is raining, according to forecasts it should get better during the day. Tobi and Boris drove at 10:00 on the airfield and try their luck. Mario and Cedi are still in bed. Time is used to wash clothes.
Rumänien - 17. Juli 2018
Last night, we are three (Cedi, Maro and Domi) exhausted arrived in Brasov. The car ride was very exciting. The plan was actually to take the train from Feldkirch to Vienna. Unfortunately we had to drive all the way. But Romania offers a lot of variety, the country is very green and reminds of Italy, the Türkau or France. This morning, after sleeping in (Cedi was early), we set out to find the airfield. Nobody knew anything, but standing around helps - and we were helped. We spent the afternoon pulling the ropes - that was a lot of work. But now we are lucky. The other teammates will be pleased. Our basecamp (stay) is a bit out of the way, but offers a lot of space - we even have a sauna.
